About Us

We’re glad you’re here! When three clotheshorse/long-time retail gals get together, good things happen. The Grove opened in 2014, and filled a real niche in Central Florida shopping- color, whimsy and atmosphere. We quickly found that local shoppers would visit several times a week- not only to scope out new arrivals, but to sit down and chat with us, our staff, and fellow shoppers. The sauvignon blanc flows freely, and we always have a lot to say.

When COVID hit, we spent a lot of time at The Grove (TBH-hiding out from our families, there was TOO MUCH togetherness in 2020). That’s when we dreamed up Clementine- Meredith and Amanda love to cook, and take real pleasure in a beautiful table. Emily doesn’t prepare food (her words 🤣) but has an impeccable eye for design. We needed more space to really do tabletop the way we wanted, and luckily a small showroom space just happened to open on the next block! In September of 2021, Clementine was born.

Everyone (including us!) is so busy with work, family, juggling responsibilities and trying to have some fun, and the concept for our stores is that we take our expertise in buying and styling, and distill it down so our customers know they can find something fun, unexpected, and sure to garner compliments. 

Meredith and Emily are both lifelong Floridians, and very engaged in the community. Amanda got here as soon as she could, and loves this corner of the world. The three of us are dedicated to living well without the fuss, and that’s what we bring to our businesses. Our combined 50+ years of retail experience covers a lot of ground- resumes include Lilly Pulitzer, lululemon, Coach, Louis Vuitton, J. McLaughlin, Columbia, and Tiffany & Co. We joke that our motto is “We never say no,” and so far it’s pretty true. We’ve taken on projects like crafting custom bicycles, interior styling of a private plane, seeking just the right tableware for a stunning yacht, and outfitting full girls-trip vacays with clothes, gifts, and more!
